1 Main Functions            
The MP200d  smart valve positioner can be applied to linear or rotary actuators. It is a two-wire device that the input signal of 4-20 mA DC is also used as the power supply. Additional wires are required for position feedback and switch outputs. The positioner can be configured as single-acting or double-acting.            
  • The travel of the actuator drives the feedback axis of the positioner and rotates the position sensor, which is converted into electrical signals.            
  • The input signal of 4-20 mA DC and actual position are transmitted to the microprocessor through A/D conversion. The microprocessor uses these data to calculate the position deviation and the output with an advanced PID control algorithm.            
  • The position controller output is used to drives an I/P module that connected to a pneumatic relay that fill air to or exhaust air from the valve actuator, causing valve to move toward the desired position.  
 
2 Technical Parameters            
  1. Analog input signal: 4-20 mA DC. Users can choose 4-12 mA or 12-20 mA range for split control application.            
  2. Analog feedback signal (optional): 4-20mA DC [external 12-24V DC power supply in the loop].            
  3. Switch output (optional): power supply voltage of 24V DC.            
  4. Transmitter analog input signal PV (optional): 1-5V DC.            
  5. Instrument-grade air supply: free from oil, moisture, and dust. (The maximum particle size: 5um, maximum particle density: 5mg/m3; maximum oil concentration: 1mg/m3; Dew point: 10K below ambient temperature. Supply pressure: 0.14-0.7 MPa. (Notes: not exceeding the maximum operating pressure of the actuator).            
  6. Air consumption: < 0.04 kg/h (independent of supply pressure).            
  7. Acting: Direct (air-to-open, signal-to-open): the input signal 4-20 mA DC corresponds to the valve position 0-100%. Reverse (air-to-close, signal-to-close): input signal 4-20 mA DC corresponds to valve position 100-0%.
